What is a RadioURL?
RadioURL is a free service for making long URLs to internet radio stations short for posting them on twitter, send them via email or paste them into a chat window. RadioURLs can point to internet playlist files or internet radio streams. RadioURLs only use 30 characters at maximum.

Example:
Enter a http URL like this:
http://ndr.ic.llnwd.net/stream/ndr_ndr2_hi_mp3

Will result in a RadioURL that looks like this:
http://www.radiourl.com/eSv

When somebody clicks on this RadioURL, the URL code gets translated into a longer URL using the „radio://“ scheme:
radio://localhost/stream/http%3A%2F%2Fndr.ic.llnwd.net%2Fstream%2Fndr_ndr2_hi_mp3

This URL can trigger a software on the user‘s computer to load and play the internet radio stream that the RadioURL points to.
